St. Louis Cardinals
They are coming to town! The questions are: is it worth it to try for Pujols? He hardly signs anymore, at least not in Denver. And will McGwire sign? I've heard he's better, now that he's been embarrassed by the steroids issue. 'Graphing is all about time, isn't it? Sit around and wait for the 'graph. Do I want to spend time on two long shots??? Stay tuned....

Baseball Fever
The Giants are in Denver for a four-game set with the Rockies. Stupid me, I didn't realize this until today (Friday) or I would've likely gone for autographs yesterday. However, I'm glad I didn't (I'll get to that in a minute).
I show up at the hotel and no one's there. This is the Giants who have Tim Lincecum...no one is at the hotel??? My first thought is "Do I have the wrong hotel?" But they usually stay at the one I went to, so I parked, grabbed my bag, and waited outside. One of the bellhops came by and confirmed I was in the right place, so I hunkered down to wait. And wait...and wait. After about a half hour, a kid I'd never met showed up (hello Steven, nice to meet you :-) Right then Pablo Sandoval came out. Steven called for him, but I don't think Pablo heard, so I called him. Pablo came right over and signed for Steven.
Patrick showed up and we swapped stories. We saw a few players (turned down by Edgar Renteria). Patrick did get Huston Street (of the Rockies) because Street dropped Barry Zito off at the hotel (Zito ignored Steven and me while Patrick got Street's 'graph).
Shortly after that, Tim Lincecum came out of the hotel. He walked toward us and I thought "He's going to sign!" but as Tim came closer, he said, "I don't sign on days that I pitch, sorry," and he walked off with some friends. Has anyone ever heard of this? Patrick said that yesterday Lincecum came out with headphones on and ignored everyone (thus I was glad I hadn't wasted my time on Thursday as Tim was the only one I really wanted). Has Tim gotten too big to sign for us now? I hope not because I have never gotten him before.
